I might be missing something but I can't find a reason to keep my trial membership of MobileMe after it expires in another month. I would like someone to tell me what benefits I get based on my situation. I have a macbook and an iMac. I do not own an iPod or an iPhone and don't plan on getting one anytime soon. I had a website on another host and was thinking about putting a new one up on MobileMe, but I have a blog and use Phanfare for my photos, so don't really think I need a website. So, can someone tell me what I benefit from MobileMe other than sync which I have been using, but feel it is not a real necessity. Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated, and I will give further information about my situation if needed for advice. Thanks so much.

If you plan on buying an iPhone I think its worth every penny. If not, yea, the sync is a huge plus for things like contacts and calendars between two computers, but the real win is with a mobile device.

I can't really think of a good economic reason.

I think I pay for it out of miss-guided loyalty to apple.

After all I've owned aprox 15 Apple computers over the years (plus dozens of Apple branded peripherals, printers, external disks, now TC's Airports etc etc.).

They just keep sucking money from me.

That aside, as the post says above, it (now) works well, esp with an iPhone (Oh God, yet another apple product I've bought!!)

You don't need it. Don't waste your money.

outside of owning an iphone, I wouldn't recommend it. With an iphone however, the cloud capabilities and mobile syncing of calendars/email across multiple devices makes it very attractive.
