Why the bezels?

Why do the iMacs, and now, the iMac Pro, have such wide bezels? Every other product in apple's line up has gone to thin or minimal bezels, and it's making the iMac (Pro) look long in the tooth. I would hope that any iMac updates this year have a redesigned case to trim back bezel.

There's electrical components underneath them when you take them apart.

Reality intrudes. Gotta put those components somewhere and do it in a way that things do not get too hot.

I've seen computer monitors with thin bezels, so it is certainly possible. But Apple seems to have prioritized "thinness" at the edges, which probably requires more bezel. I doubt you can have thin bezels AND thin edges without being fragile.

But anyway, this seems like a thread for the iMac forum. Mac Pro users buy whatever monitor they want.

Oops, didn't realize this was Mac Pro forum.

Well hopefully the new apple monitors that go with the Mac Pro have thin bezels.
