Why the he** won't Mail delete my emails when I ask it to

I have deleted my emails over and over again, but they keep returning. What is the problem with the Mail app? I tell you, Apple is starting to get on my nerves more than Windows ever did.

Another frustration... emails from contacts (some identified as VIP) used to all go to my .mac email inbox. Now, sometimes and sporadically, emails from contacts go to Junk. In fact, emails I send to myself from my .mac account sometimes end up in the junk folder.

Try repair permissions in Disk Utility and reboot. See this helps.

Do you have a gmail account configured to the mail app. by chance?
