I don't think I will buy an iPad right off, or even in the near future, but the ability to be ANYWHERE (within AT&T wireless boundaries) and access the internet is intriguing to me. Sure, I can take my Macbook most places and find a hotspot in many towns, but it is a little more of a pain to lug it around and try to find a hotspot (although it is very light).
The idea of being able to carry something super-light around and access the internet quickly to get information that I need sounds amazing. Again, a computer + Wifi or even a wireless internet card would work fine, but the 'pad still seems better for the job.
Also, $29 a month for unlimited net sounds pretty good. Mobile broadband through other services costs much more (Verizon is ridiculous). I don't know where else a deal like this exists? I don't think it does.
