Hello again,
Yes if Apple does this right and I hope they do, the next gen MacBook's pros will be awesome in terms of performance, battery life, efficiency and display.
Now before we do that lets put some cons that these next Macbook Pros will lack:
* No bootcamp(x86 or arm)
* Inability to run 32bit apps
* Likely no 64GB RAM as they will be using LPDDR5 memory so far LPDDR5 goes up to 32GB.
Apple will have the best CPU performance in a 16" laptop of this I am sure. Both the 14" and 16" will have industry leading displays and battery life. Just imagine the battery life of the 16" if it keeps the 99wr battery.
I 100% believe the 16" will have best battery life of any laptop if Apple keeps the 99wr battery as thats the maximum allowed in a laptop.
The efficiency of the M1-arch will sure make this happen. The displays will have HDR with a peak brightness of 1600nits when viewing HDR content.
I won't talk about performance yet as we have more info about that when they come out.
I will add more to this thread as more info comes out on the new 14" and 16" MacBook Pros.
