Recently bought two in space black. When I opened the screen the first time, saw some white lints sticking on the rubber-like edge on the top of the screen. What are they? Manager of an Apple Store said glue! She used force to rub them off several times. She said the lints came from the thin sheet that protected the screen during transportation. She said it was pressed so hard that some lints got imprinted to the edge due to glue. I don’t believe that as that sheet did not cover the rubber-like edge. It is a bit smaller than that edge. Also why glue came out?

I don’t have photo with me. Never seen this using MacBook Pro for 20+ years.
