Why there is a lot of extra back up files in SSD hard disk?

Hello,

I just did a clean install of Mountain Lion and after 3 days using, my SSD hard disk is nearly full. I attach the image below and I don't know what is the back up files (in purple color) come from since I back up via Time Machine into an extra hard drive. I appreciate your reply.

Turn Time Machine off then back on and it will zero out those local backups. Or you can ignore it an the OS will clear them out if the space is needed.
