Why? I don't get it. Waste of bandwith and space imo.

Also, anyone else experiencing wrong album art in especially Motion picture soundtracks shared with iCloud music library? They should uploud the album art together with the music.
I've posted feedback about it to Apple.

I have Match and it doesn't actually upload a song that Apple has and I'm sure Apple Music is the same. It just uploads the info and matches it to the song in Apple's inventory.

The reason you are "experiencing wrong album art" is because Apple is NOT uploading the music or info and simply matching the music tracks (and not 'looking' at your album art) it sees on your HD to what they have that matches.

Oh ok. It just keeps "uploading" one song for a very long time, that's why I thought it uploaded the whole thing.

I have a collection of different motion picture soundtracks and they're all correctly tagged but many will not show the correct album art on the iPhone. The only thing that's missing is "(Music from the Motion Picture)" in the album name.

First world problems.

But that's a bug. Normally it should upload custom album art along with your other meta data even if it "matches" the song rather than uploading it. In iTunes Match it usually works, but Apple Music seems to screw it up quite often based on the reports here in the forum.
