i think it's official the fact that we will never see a Public Release.

KeenLab has officially told that they don't have any intention to release jailbreak. They only do their job to make money with Apple
They won't release it but its good news that it is possible. I think we will see a release from a different company.

i don' t think will be ever released any jailbreak for 11.1.1 or new versions for new iPhones.

At this time all Teams want make money and only money. Look at Jailbreak scene and Root scene for Android.

We need a 0 Day in this world where all people start back again ...

Look at the history of past jailbreaks where people said they didn't think a jailbreak would ever be released for that version of firmware.

They said it of 6/7/8/9/10 and each time there was. Maybe not as soon nor as many as people would like, but there was.

I am not saying you're wrong, but the track record proves all those before wrong.

you are right, but jailbreak today is really dead.

If last iPhone X ever will be jailbreaked for sure will not be last SW version available on the market and so 98% of potential jailbreakers around the world will just have upgraded to the last SW version.

Lobby Industries have their new strategy : Buy Exploit

Jailbreak is indeed dying. We just had one jailbreak for iOS 10 and it wasn't an "official" release by a known team. Never in the past we had to wait that long for a jailbreak. In 2-3 months it will be a year since the last jailbreak and there is no real sign of a new one releasing soon.

As much as I like jailbreak, I think its more a thing of the past now and maybe we'll see one for ios 11 but it's a fact that all signs point out to the end of the jailbreaking era.

I'll sadly have to agree with the jailbreaking thing dying. I bought a backup SE back in April, and I'm still waiting to jailbreak it.

Agreed. Gone are the days of GeoHot, MuscleNerd, Ionic etc all competing for the fastest release it felt, but it doesn't mean something won't come out at some point. If it doesn't, hell of a run there!

Having said that, I don't know why anyone's worried. They could just buy the 'superior iPhone 8' apparently... Lucky.

I think the 7+ is a nice jump from the 6s+. For me, the dual camera system, faster processor and IP67 water resistance were big factors, as was a larger screen (upgraded from a 6). The cherry on top was getting 128GB of storage for the same price as 64GB on the 6s+.
This.
The dual cameras was a big jump from the 6s series. I think the line should of ended with the 7's.
Apple just wanted a lower phone they could release with the delayed X release. Imagine them not having any phones till 2 months after the keynote.
The 8's where good for upgraders that didn't care and just got whatever was next on the list and didn't want to screw up their normal upgrade dates.

They release the iPhone 8 because it’s not everyone who wants to pay that much for a phone. Also some people wants a true 16:9 ratio with a «real» big screen. The X is clearly not for everyone at this time.

6$ more a month isn't much a dealbreaker for people and most do payment plans nowadays. The plus is already priced higher than the 7+ last year and the 256 is what 950$?
The screen I cant argue I personally like the stretch format for movies and using the phone normally (not horizontal).

Maybe in the US but in other countries like Canada the X is significally higher in price compared to the iPhone 8 and 8 plus.
