It seems that since I upgraded to High Sierra quite often when I click on an email it doesn't load. I wait a while but it still doesn't load so I must try another email (which always opens) and then go back to the one I initially tried to open and it will then open. Can I fix this problem? Thank you.
 
is the mailserver owned by a well-known manager/company like google gmail or yahoo?

I have not had any problems with emails not opening. On 10.13.4

same here and I have an icloud account...apple mail is flawed at best....someday in the future they will get it right but I may be dead by time that happens.

We can see what you asked (but not why you asked it)
And, now that the OP has answered your question, you can see that, in this case, a yes or no answer is not really too helpful.

I've had exactly the same problem with Mail being buggy. No cloud here. Started with High Sierra.
