why wont itunes let me burn to my cds 80 minute compacity

so what if its 105 songs

Assuming I understand correctly. There's a limit on the total length (80 min) and total number of tracks (99) for Red Book Audio CDs. You can store plenty more tracks on an MP3 CD or Data CD.

This always confuses me as I have a CD which has 130 songs on it (some cheesy quiz CD my family bought). I know the redbook limit is 99, but our Philips CD recorder supports up to 255 tracks, and I've never had any problems with the CDs burnt on that not playing on other CD players...

The rules are always there to be broken. ;)

Unless they're hardcoded in the software...
