After Updating from 2.2.1 on my iphone 3g to firmware 3.0 my apps will not show. My phone was jailbroken but did'nt have any problems, i didnt restore before upgrading, i simply DL the update and installed it, idk if that was the problem, i also used the app Categories so i dont know if my apps are stuck in some internal folder somewhere in the harddrive. also i have restored my iphone about 3 times and backed it up, nothing has happened, the status bar shows apps bieng installed but nothing pops up on my phone, please help :(

Make sure they're checked in iTunes!?

Oh, they are, each that i want are individually checked, and when i press sync after restoring it, it will show the progress of the apps bieng installed it even takes the time that it should installing my apps, and the bar which shows how much space is left over indicates apps taking up space, but then on my home screen i just have the default icons, no apps

ok, its official the apps are some how hidden, in settings the few apps that have managable settings from the iphone settings show, like facebook ect. so the apps ARE on the phone but i cannot see them please help, i have a very strong feeling its due to the cydia app Categories and somewhere in the process the apps got lost in a folder

yes i have, there are only 2 screens the home screen, and the search screen to the left of the home

OMG i fixed it, i hope this thread helps other people who have the same problem, go to general in settings and turn on/off restrictions, it should make all the apps pop up again, worked for me :D
