I’m starting to have some flickering on my display for no reason. What are the reasons that would happen?

I guess the cable is flexing, which can cause screen display issues, given how thin those connectors are inside the iPad.

It wasn’t plugged in.
He/she is talking about the display cable that is internal to the iPad.

If I were you, I'd take it to an Apple Store right away and have them document these issues. The problem (in my experience) is that display flickering issues are intermittent and tend to only occur when Apple personnel are not around. If you get them to document it, it could help you out in a warranty case later on.

Is it proper flickering or do you see a bit of change in the screen from time to time?

Definitely more like a flicker
