Why does this exist and how is this legal in the US?

This quad-band phone features dual SIM card slots, 3.2" 320x240 touchscreen LCD, 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture, microSD card slot, USB connectivity, up to four hours of talk time, and more.

Isn't that just a picture of an iPhone. The actual device they are selling may look slightly different?

No it isn't a pic of the iPhone, look at the bottom left side you can slightly see the volume controls. So they put those on the bottom and now its not copyright infringement? Haha. Really though I'm not surprised I have seen soo many iPhone knockoffs especially in DC and NYC.

There is always going to be look-a-likes whether it is electronics, clothes, or whatever. It is just a sad reality.

And most of these will be glitchy as hell and the touchscreen technology is terrible. And for people who buy these, keep forgetting that the reason they wanted an iPhone was for the awesome apps... Which they will not be able to get.

Some of these are legal and some are not. Likes the ones labeled as iPhones, and have other Apple logos and such, those are illegal.

MOST USELESS THREAD TITLE EVER!

Seriously - how naive are you? If you've never seen knock-offs before I have a "Roalex " watch to sell you.

Agreed. The likely culprit is the OP's is stuck in an :apple: crate. Maybe someone needs to make an app for spotting phony iphones.:)

MOST USELESS THREAD TITLE EVER!

Yes, but you opened it. :p

Why.....does this thread exist?

Because I started it. :p

---

My only point was that I am amazed that such a blatant rip off can be sold openly in the USA. More poignantly, I don't understand the market for it. At $125, it's not exactly cheap and it doesn't do what an iPhone does. WHY!!!!?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7C144 Safari/528.16)

Because you are a pie...

I keep picturing Nancy Kerrigan from this thread title.

Too bad the OP doesn't bother to read the note about thread titles just above where he created the thread title:

Do not use a generic title such as "Help please" or "What to do" or "Need advice" -- be specific!

And in response to his "Why?" Who cares.

Because I started it. :p

LOL. Well the iPhone knockoffs are extremely popular in China. I was in Beijing last X'mas and they run infomercials non-stop trying to sell these knockoffs. I almost bought one myself!

Cool story bro.

It's for 70 year old grandmas that want to buy something nice for their grandchildren.
Agreed. But it sucks for the grandchildren.....
