That's pretty sick. I think its time to upgrade my router to a 6E device... I was thinking of switching to the FIOS 1GB plan which includes a 6E router from them.... This may have motivated me to make that move, thanks!

Not to mention that it’s not fully adopted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Many of the current WIFI 7 routers might be missing some features when this format is fully finalized. You should not do that. The routers are just showing up and the prices are high and the results are mixed. Waitbit on that
Are you using the Bell GigaHub as your router, or are you using something different? My wifi is a bit spotty in some parts of my house, so I'm debating on using the Bell Pods hardwired back to the router or using a different mesh setup like Eero.View attachment 2280375

I’ve heard 6e doesn’t travel far well and that you only get these speeds within 50’ of the router. Does the signal drop off around your house?View attachment 2280375

Do you have Ethernet ports is most rooms? What router does everyone have, AND how big is your home? I currently have an Orbi router not on 6e and they want almost $2k for a 3 mesh system. I have a 3700 sq ft. Home and it’s long more so than wide, so I need 3 units to make sure the whole house gets sufficient WiFi. I have 2kgb fiber but wire most of it to get the benenfit.
No, I have 2 areas where I have run switches that have most of the high data devices, such as PS5, Xbox, gaming computer etc .. and the main router is in the home theater so I can access directly.Do you have Ethernet ports is most rooms?
That's not Wi-Fi 6EView attachment 2298900
I get more than double the download speed but my upload is definitely not as much!
Yes, that is correct!I’ve heard 6e doesn’t travel far well and that you only get these speeds within 50’ of the router. Does the signal drop off around your house?

It’ll need to be 6E specifically. Can anybody help me figure out how to take advantage of these speeds?
I have a iPhone 15 pro and my router is an Asus RT-AX82U. Features list says it has WiFi 6. Is that what I need? Or do I need something that is for WiFi 6E?
I have my phone connected to the 5G band but I’m only getting around 300 mbps 🧐
Nope, I have an Asus ax86U and get over 1100Mbps downloads, just need to make sure you have 160Mhz channels enabled. It’ll need to be 6E specifically.
What speed is your broadband? Make sure you have 160MHz channels enabled if that router supports it.Can anybody help me figure out how to take advantage of these speeds?

The most impactful difference is that Wi-Fi 6E devices use a dedicated 6E spectrum with up to seven additional 160 MHz channels while Wi-Fi 6 devices share the same congested spectrum — and only two 160 MHz channels — with other legacy Wi-Fi 4, 5, and 6 devices.Nope, I have an Asus ax86U and get over 1100Mbps downloads, just need to make sure you have 160Mhz channels enabled.
