Wi-Fi icon missing

I did have my phone set for Wi-Fi calling and still is, but the icon on the top of the screen is not there now. Does anyone know if they did away with the icon. Used to say "Wi-Fi" and not nada. THX

The WiFi icon is still there, between the operator logo and VPN icon, when you are connected to a WiFi network.
