Since yesterday morning, my wife’s iPhone 15 Pro Max and my iPhone 15 Pro have been having serious Wi-Fi problems after updating to iOS 18.3.2. We’ve pinned it down to the Private Wi-Fi Address setting—turning it off makes the connection work, but switching it to “Fixed” brings the issue right back. Our phones connect to Wi-Fi, but we’re barely getting any data through. I’m pretty sure Wi-Fi Assist is kicking in hard and chewing through our cellular data right now.

Weirdly, none of our iPads or other devices on our home network are affected—just the iPhones. We’ve tried everything: hard and soft resets on the phones, forgetting and rejoining the Wi-Fi network, and restarting our modem and router multiple times. Nothing’s worked so far. Has anyone else seen this since 18.3.2? Did you find a real fix beyond disabling the Private Wi-Fi Address? Also, any thoughts on whether Apple might address this in the next update? It’s driving us nuts—help appreciated!

Not a feature I use, but just to help troubleshoot:
Have you done speed tests to make sure nothing is happening at an ISP level? All other connected devices behaving normally? Have you tried changing the channel for router?

Two iPhones for me are not having this issue. (My home network uses Eero router/APs.) My phone is set to "Fixed" - I'm not sure about my wife's phone.
