Since upgrading to OSX El Capitan recently I’ve had nothing but problems with my Wi-Fi connection. It goes incredibly slow, to the point that websites won’t load, it’s unable to access the Mac App store, Google Drive and DropBox show as being offline etc. Additionally it often takes two or three attempts to actually connect to an access point.

The same problems happen whether I’m on my home Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi at the office or tethering via Wi-Fi on my iPhone.

I had the *exact* same problems on my MacBook Pro which I sold recently (I now have a MacBook Air).

I’ve read a number of posts and articles, some of which suggested deleting some pref/config files and setting up a new Wi-Fi location, but none of these changes worked at all.

I installed the new 10.11.2 update yesterday but again this didn’t make any difference at all.

Is anyone else in the same boat?

I guess the best option is to downgrade back to OSX Yosemite?

I only know Apple describes 'Improves Wi-Fi reliability' for version 10.11.2 update. So the truth is no improvement at all.

Thanks. That made no difference unfortunately.

I'll have to revert back to Yosemite. My MacBook Air is totally offline at the moment.

On the office wifi connection it keeps saying that the wifi key is incorrect (it isn't incorrect) and at home, via tethering, or via a hotspot somewhere I just get unusable connection speeds.
