Hi guys, has anyone noticed the wi-fi download speed has been affected on iOS 14?

I have a 100mb download connection but on my iPhone since iOS 14 I've had massively fluctuating speeds, Sometime I hit the 100 and a few seconds later I just about hit 20mb. I've tested the speeds on my iPad running iOS 13.7 and my Mac running El Capitan and they constantly hit 100mbs. It's just my iPhone running the latest Beta that is affected.

Not quite sure about speeds, but it seems like WiFi connectivity might have been affected for me -- it seems to fluctuate between WiFi and mobile connection fairly often in areas where WiFi connection isn't as strong, but where normally the WiFi connection would remain prior to iOS 14.

Pretty standard speeds for me and not a ton of fluctuation

I also have AT&T gigabit fiber and see roughly 400-600Mbit/sec down/up depending on area of the house and time of day

Damn! You boys have some serious speeds going on there!

Mine is still fluctuating between 20 down load to 100 (100 is the max I can get). But my Mac consistently reaches 100.

What hardware are you using that is delivering 676Mbps on WiFi?

Which WAP’s are you using?

Jason

my network is att gigabit using their standard ont to bgw210 passthrough to Unifi UDM Pro and orbi rbk853 wifi6 mesh in ap mode. I get these speeds all over my house and roughly 400 up down in my guesthouse which is detached.

Update: I updated to the GM late last night and that seems to have resolved the issue. I'm now getting 100 download and 10 upload.

Now normally I'd be happy with that, but having seen the figures you boys are getting..... 😳😢

Ah, of course, WiFi6.

I’m not running any WAPs with that yet. Waiting for the UK release of the Aruba unit that supports it.

That’s why mine is a bit slower than yours. I’m on gigabit download, but can’t really get past 600 on 5GHz

Speed measurements are the same as before, but the WiFi seems quicker on my iPhone X so far. Apps download faster and smoother.
