i am looking for wireless usb adapter for my mac g4 on mac os 10.3.9

has anyone recently bought one?

i have found some forums about one model of asus adapter, but they experienced problems. :(

I bought a cheap generic USB adapter that had a Zydas Chipset. Downloaded the drivers for 10.4 from zydas.com and sold it on ebay 3 days later. It had good signal strength but it lost connections and cause my machine to have kernal panics. I suspect it was a badly written driver as it worked fine on a PC.

I'm afraid airport extreme is the way to go...

Try to get something using broadcom chipsets, apparently Apple's own airport extreme uses the same chipset and such adaptors will appear as airport extreme to mac os.

Something I read in Macworld, not too sure of it myself.
