Not sure what you mean exactly but I have started updating one of my apps and am in the process of replacing the old "today" widget with the new iOS 14 widgets. I assume every developer who is currently supporting the "today" widget will move to the new ones as the old style will not be supported anymore on iOS 14.

I'm sorry to read you are no longer supporting the classic 'today' widget. I was not aware that Apple will no longer support the old widgets in iOS14 final release. I am still seeing them in iOS14 public beta and I still love and use them on a daily basis for third party weather widgets and Launcher widget for quick access directly from each app just two swipes away to e.g launch my KeePass Touch app.

May I ask which app/widget you offer and if you already send it to TestFlight. I would love to try some 3rd party widgets in iOS14.

If you build your app based on the iOS 14 SDK, the old Today Widget will disappear. You will notice after the official release in September / October. Also doesn't make sense to keep the old ones from a UI design perspective as they look quite differently.

My widgets are not ready for TestFlight, yet. At the moment there are still some bugs to remove on my end and also in Xcode.

But you may well still have a 'new' iOS14 widget showing in the Today Widget area right for a third party? The Today View area will remain in iOS14 and iPadOS14 (where it is the only place still for widgets)
