I have a 60GB macbook, which has had a whole gamut of troubles, but has been working ok since a battery replacement 2 weeks ago. Anyway, today the display has just got supersaturated and burnt out. It seems like a setting of some sort, as when I start up, it looks normal until halfway through start up, then it "burns out". It is hard to describe, but it looks as if I have chosen a saturate filter on an image, and all the window edges are really shiny.
Changing the brightness just dims, but doesn't fix this. I have looked everywhere for what setting has been changed, or even a "reset to factory display settings" option. Does anyone know what is going on here?
