Sometimes when I move items to the trash, instead of the normal trash sound, I get a really loud, abrassive sqwacking noise. IT DOESN'T SOUND GOOD. And I guarantee it's no system sound. This has only happened to me about three times now, once every ten trash runs at most. Anyone else run into this, know what it might be and how to fix it?

Do you have Adium installed?

That's the only thing I can think of it being, because their default noises for people logging off and stuff are these really weird squawking noises. Maybe it is a coincidence that these it happens when you moved something to the trash. Made me jump the first few times I heard it. Once I finally found the culprit, I changed the settings to fit my needs. But if the noise happens every time, I really don't know what to say.

Hope this helps...

Perhaps you are trashing something that can't be deleted at the time, like a DMG that is currently mounted. I remember it making an angry grunt when I tried to do that a few times...

No, whatever I throw in the trash manages to get deleted okay, or unmounted as the case may be. This isn't some normal system sound. It sounds industrial, abrasive and extremely loud compared to my system volume. You know how old PC's sometimes made non-system sounds that were very abrasive when something crashed real bad. Sorta like that.

I guess I probably sound crazy, but I promise, this isn't a normal sound.
