I got a 16g and she got a 8...Totally new to ATT. I am discovering a problem with mine. My home button does not respond immediately. If I am in an app and I hit the home button, sometimes it does nothing. I have to hit it again, sometimes three times and it goes back. If I really put pressure on it it'll go the first time. The button doesnt have the click feeling when you press it. My wifes does and you can often hear her push it. Mine has none of that. Can I take it back to exchange with ATT or do I have to find an Apple store? Little thing like this is bothering me.

I'd take it back to where you got it. I went to an Apple store about my first iPhone and they told me to take it back to AT&T.

Yeah, I figured that. Problem is they can't back up stuff up...Oh well, I guess i can sync is all again.

My first 3g did the same thing, you need to take it to an apple store, att will do nothing with it. At least att did ntohing with mine, they told me to take it to apple (it was only a day old when I called them about the problem).

Apple replaced it, no questions asked.

Great news! I have an Apple store by my home. I will stop there this evening. Thanks for that.

You probably will need to go online and set up an appointment to see the Genius.....I had to and that seems to be the way most apple stores are.

follow this link, plug in your location and setup an appointment. (located on the right side where its says "Genius Bar Reservations" ;) )

So you can't just walk into a Apple store and get assistance?

Oh, heck with it. I scheduled a time anyways. Good thing you gave me that link. I called the Apple store and she said ATT can not do anything. They would have sent me to them.

kinda dumb, huh? I guess you can walk in and see if they have time slots open when you walk in, but its a crap shoot if you're gonna be that lucky. but I see you made an appt, so thats the best way to do it.

Good luck.

Yeah, it is kinda weird appointments can only be made online. So far, I have had to take mine back twice, I am now on my third 3G. As long as they are replacing it, I'm not complaining ;-)

Apple should give you a new phone no questions asked. Their service is Amazing.

I always make appointments, after sitting in the store for about 3 hours(There were 5 million people). At least I had some shiny computers in front of me to keep me occupied.

What was wrong with the other two devices? This one I got today is not as bright as my wifes when they are at the same level of brightness on the bar.
