ME AND MY WIFE UPGRADED TO IPHONE XS MAX AND NOW WHEN I SEND DAUGHTER TEXT MESSAGE IT GOES TO WIFE'S IPHONE.

I CHECKED THAT AND RIGHT NUMBER IS CHECKED BUT WE ALL SHARE THE SAME APPLE ID

FYI

A lot of people set their phones up this way and this will cause more and more problems as the iOS software progresses with iCloud backups and application integration.

I would suggest getting different iCloud identity’s ASAP.

Create a family iCloud account for purchase sharing amongst different ids.

I always wonder why people do that. It seems silly to use the same Apple ID for different personal devices.

I think people believe it’s to manage the account better not knowing that there are family options with shared folders, photos and apps.

Within my family we shared an iTunes ID for a while before shared purchases existed. Now, I just set it up so my son needs approval.

With that, he is 8 and has his own Apple ID.

Also, there is some work involved with changing it over, but it will get worse and worse and there will be a lot more work later.

People originally did this because they could share purchases of apps and music. Then family sharing came out and they were never educated differently.
