My wife and I both have iPads and iPhones. On the phones, we're both running IOS 12.4.2 and the Gmail app. Recently her Gmail is mixed in with my Gmail messages however my Gmail doesn't show up on her phone. The iPad is fine as is the Mac. I'm not sure if IOS or Gmail is the root of this problem.
Can someone point out some things to check to troubleshoot this problem?
Thanks for your help.

Yes we do share an Apple ID. We have for years but this just started recently.

You are saying this is in the Gmail app? Check the accounts that are enabled in it — you can remove any that you don’t want.

One of you needs to change your AppleID right now. AppleIDs are one per person. Going forward, you will continue to have trouble caused by a shared ID. Once you each have your own IDs, use Family Sharing to share content.

I have no idea, but do you share an Apple ID?

Not sure that would really be related to something in the Gmail app.

I just wonder if there is something confusing about iCloud sync.

Anyway, have you done the obvious thing and checked out the email settings in the Mail app to make sure you are each using your respective gmail addresses and passwords?

Molly’s, I think you win the prize. My wife Gmail account was enabled along with mine on my phone. She didn’t have her phone with her a couple of weeks ago and logged in on my phone.
Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.

Curious, where was the account enabled, in the Gmail app?
