Hello,

I own the iPhone 6 plus verizon model unlocked and have set up the options for wifi calling in settings but how would I know if the call really is outgoing as a wifi call is their any indication showing this?

I read this
https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/wifi-calling-faqs/

I have all settings setup with a E911 adress but when making calls and by wifi with wifi on and the HD feature on my verizon account still no wifi calling icon when making calls.

VZW Wi-Fi appears in your status bar instead of Verizon when it's being used.

So you definitely have it enabled, and you are on a good WiFi connection, and if you turn on Airplane Mode and then turn on WiFi you don't get "VZW Wi-Fi" at the top between the airplane mode icon and the WiFi signal icon?

Wi-fi calling is amazing! I work under 5 floors of concrete with zero connection to Verizon...and wi-fi calling is crystal clear. Glad you got yours working. For me, no need to do the airplane mode etc.

What is the difference between calling via FaceTime over wifi and using VZN wifi calling? Sounds like the same thing IF I am calling an iPhone from my iPhone? I'm thinking that wifi calling will allow me to call a landline or Android. Do I have that right?
BTW. FaceTime audio and video worked great on a cruise ship while on the ship's wifi. Would VZN wifi calling also work in that situation?

you enabled WiFi calling and entered an address like it asked you to right? If so, try putting your phone into Airplane mode but make sure WiFI is on. That should also trigger it.

It basically allows you to make and receive calls as you would normally when you are on the network--so basically if someone calls your number you would get the call and if you would call someone they would get it coming from your number as it normally would. It also allows for texts to be sent and received (beyond iMessages basically).
