I can connect to my router with full blue but everytime i try to browse it says cannot locate server or could not open page because the serve stopped responding and my iphone goes in edge over my router, for i guess reasons that i cant get internet on my router while connected... same with youtube, email, and gmaps... cant connect to anything

im sorry if this issue has been discussed, any help would be appreciated

p.s. my iphone makes a "electric spark" noise every 7-9minutes... like a small spark.. weird.. anybody hear urs do that? if not humor me and just listen to it for 10mins... just so i know im not crazy lol

Get a replacement modem, take your router back, get a linksys brand.
I was having similar problems off and on for a week. Comcast would go down for maintainance and when it came back on it would not get the IP, no matter how many times I reset and swapped cords. Then out of nowhere it would work again, then out of nowhere it'd drop out again.

Ive noticed if you:
unplug all cords
reset modem
plug modem directly into a pc, get the ip
unplug, plug modem into router
reset router 5 times
It would work.

I got tired of doing this so I went and got a new cable modem and returned my belkin to BB and got store credit towards a linksys. Went home, DID NOT run the "required" cd, and it just worked.

hmmm im not sure if its the router... i have a westell which is pretty much up to par.. any other suggestions?

I'm also having the same problem, my iphone connects to my wireless router but cant connect to websites, email weather or stocks.
My laptop connects to my router fine.
I also erased all contents and settings through the phone and itunes and still no luck.

what about a custom IP address?? or maybe try changing all the IP address ranges on your router. also, make sure your logged into the interwebz. meh i donno just brainstorming

hrmmm, it seems the system update has fixed my wifi problem, im on my iphone on my router with high speed internet!!! :)*shrugs*:apple:

glad to hear your problem was fixed, i used to have this same problem as well, what fixed it for me was on your iphone go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings. Hope this helps, if ever needed.
