Ever since I upgraded the OS (12.4.1), I have to continuously log into my wifi when I'm in my apt. It's the only place where I have to do that. So unless I'm on my phone all the time, I get kicked out. Suggestions?

You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings as a troubleshooting step.

Do you have any fixed IP devices? Any IP reservations set up on your router?

Do you have iCloud Keychain syncing on?

Just poking around for a clue.

Do you have iCloud Keychain syncing on? I don't know.

apologize for being clueless

ok, will give it a shot

A perhaps related Wi-Fi issue: since last night, it seems I cannot log onto my Wi-Fi network with my iPhone (X), iOS 14.0.1. Initially, I thought it was an issue with my internet service, but my laptops connect to the network no problem (MacBook Pro 13" 2014 and MacBook Pro 16" 2019). I don't even see the Wi-Fi icon on my phone -- despite seeing a blue check next to my network name. I've tried the Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to no avail.

Has anyone else seen something similar? Likely will call Apple soon.

Yes, I had auto join enabled. I tried disabling that before doing the reset.

Then late last night I realized I saw my VPN app (Lockdown) was toggling on and off like crazy. I completely disabled it, and everything is back to normal. Interesting.

Lockdown was good for squashing tracking by FB, Google, etc, but I suppose it worked a little too well with taking out the internet all together!

Oh you're using a VPN. That's one of those details that would have been helpful to know up front. Glad you figured it out though.

Agreed — of course it’s never caused a problem so I effectively forgot about it, then it hit me as I was getting ready for bed. The old “walk away, take a break” trick I suppose

I did get an email late last night from Lockdown apologizing for the issue, with instructions on how to remedy the situation -- so it looks like it was more widespread than just me. Very nice of them!
