Wifi cuts out!! EVERYWHERE!

When I sync my iPad 2 or Iphone 4 to my mac wirelessly all of a sudden my internet cuts out and all of the wifi around the house goes after that and everyone is cut off of wifi. Every time i have to go down stairs and restart the modem and router. Is anyone else having problems like this? If so, is there anyway to fix this.

Have you tried to reset network settings on your iPhone and iPad? Also, after you do that, do not just reboot phone and iPad, but do a full cold reboot. That is, power it off, wait a minute and power back on. Then re select your wifi router. I had a problem with my wifi speeds on my iPad and iPhone 4. Could not get more than 2 Mbs download from my wifi router, even though my iMac would top out at 30 Mbs. A normal reboot would not solve this problem. Rebooting the router would not solve it. Not until I did a cold reboot on both did my speeds jump back up to 25 to 30 Mbs.

Thanks I will try that and see what happens. I just dont get why my internet crashes all over the house every time i sync it with my Ipad 2 over the wireless sync.

If the handshake is messed up, it can cause problems.

I think it worked thanks so much. ill keep you posted on here if something comes up but as of right now its working great!!

Guess: DHCP issue.

If it comes back, try giving IPs manually instead of dynamic.

Something similar is happening with my iPhone 4S. Whenever I use airplay from my phone to play on my speakers via airport express it will eventually crash the entire home network.

Ya that what I was saying before....my internet would just crash when syncing up apps and updates......then everyone around my house would just get cut off from the Wifi cause it would crash. I really hope they fix this with the next up date.
