Hi, I am a newbie with the ipad and loving it but only have a 16g model so wondered if there are any ways to connect to say a wifi drive like the time capsule, assuming I am not in a wifi spot, if you see? In other words, something like the air stash but as am in the UK and cant get it as yet, thought there might be a hack with a portable wifi point.

I would use Goodreader to get at the files and use them.

Thanks very much!

No sorry, you'll have to try that again.

Er, Goodreader can access a networked hard drive on the same network, given the FTP details, if that's what you mean...?

Yes, goodreader can access a drive I think if it has Ftp account but I haven't tried it yet !
O only know it works with MobileMe.

Oh well, have to wait for the air stash to come to the UK..

I use AirSharing HD to connect to my home server via FTP. Works perfectly.

I know how to access wifi, but what I am looking for is the equivalent of air stash, in other words I want to access data held on a drive when I do not have an active wifi connection, say when I am on vacation.

Hopefully there will be some other devices like air stash that create their own wifi network.

Thanks.
