I've noticed that BOTH my iPhone and my iPod Touch will drop their wifi connections after 30 minutes of continuous use (e.g., streaming audio). Wifi will only reconnect thereafter if I wake up the phone or ipod.

This DOES seem to happen on other wireless networks besides my home network. This does NOT seem to happen when the phone or ipod is plugged into an AC adaptor. The problem persists even with fetch and push turned OFF.

Have others experienced this issue? Any ideas on what's causing it? Could it be some power management thing? If so, is there some way to tweak this on a jailbroken phone, e.g., by using bossprefs?

ETA: The problem seems confined to wi-fi and does not occur when streaming over 3G.

Installed Insomnia on the iTouch, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Wi-fi still drops every half hour on the dot. Any other suggestions?

Am I really the only one having this problem?
