Wifi & Finder troubles

I have a 2012 mini that has dead Wifi. I have a 2011 dismembered mini. Will the 2011 Wifi module work in the 2012?

I have lost my documents folder from the finder window. The folder is on the desktop. How can I get it back into the finder window?

Rather than break into the Mini just to fix wifi, you might consider:
1 ethernet if you have it available -- always faster than wifi
or
2. a USB-to-wifi adapter. These are cheap but get one known to work with the Mac.

I don't use the documents folder, but can you:
- open a finder window
- navigate into your home folder (so that you can see the documents folder)
- "grab" the documents folder with the mouse and move it to the sidebar?

Got the "Documents" folder back into the "Finder". Ran 50 foot ethernet cable from wifi server? to mini. No joy, no idea how to get working? Thanks.

You connected ethernet, and the network connection STILL isn't working?
Is that what you meant in reply 3 above?

If that's the case, sounds like a software problem, almost as if a component of the OS that governs networking is missing or corrupted.
