I've noticed that my Internet connection has been acting strange during the past week. When I open Safari and type in an address or click on one of the links in my favorites bar, it takes several seconds before it even leaves the top sites page. When I'm using Skype and I open Safari, the video quality on Skype immediately diminishes and both parties lag as if I was using a DSL connection. I'm getting 50 MBPS down and 5 MBPS up, verified by Speedtest.net so I don't know why my Internet is acting up all of the sudden.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should check out or steps I should take to resolve this?

I hate to sound like a script reading support worker but my ISP moved the DNS servers around and it caused some strange internet problems for me. I finally rebooted the modem and router to clear the problems.

Thanks for the reply; that was one of the first things I did to try and resolve the issue on my own to no avail.

The problem could be caused by network interference, perhaps by a new device or network nearby. I suggest you use iStumbler to check for possible sources of interference, and try changing your network's channel to be different from others nearby.
