Just noticed the past couple of days when I am browsing Safari or doing anything that requires internet my internet connection will randomly stop. I have to turn on airplane mode, then turn it off for my connection to reconnect. The weird thing is before I do that, i will go to Settings > Wifi and under my selected network in orange it will say "No Internet Connection". This didn't happen on iOS 18.0, just started on iOS 18.0.1 and I have reported feedback to Apple via the Feedback App. So far its only affecting my iPhone. My iPad Pro M4 and Macbook Air M3 is not affected and are on the latest software.

My Details:
Device: iPhone 16 Pro Max
Private Wifi Address: Off
Limit IP Address Tracking: Off
Wifi 6e Mode: Disabled
Router/Modem: Arris G54
Single SSID with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz
Using Custom DNS Server through Adguard (profile installed)
iCloud Private Relay: Disabled

Anyone experiencing this issue?

Yes, I’m in the UK and have had no WiFi since early this morning on any of my devices, which were all updated to 18.0.1 yesterday. Turning airplane mode on and off didn’t help. Husband has same issue. No problem with our service provider.

Did you file a bug report?

No, but I left feedback via Apple Support. However, a couple of hours ago WiFi connection resumed and all devices are now working properly. So I’m guessing this had nothing to do with the iOS update particularly as the iPhone 12 mini was on 17.7

Good luck, I hope yours gets sorted out soon.

Not sure if this is a 18.0.1 issue or not. But I have wifi autojoin enabled and the wifi just keeps unconnecting and reconnecting, it just kept doing it over and over and over. I turned autojoin off and reconnected to my wifi since then it has been stable. Is this a problem with the update or something that wrong with autojoin

Feel like its gotten a bit worse.... Noticed today when I was on a teams call that the teams call cut out saying "trying to reconnect" and i noticed it was attempting to switch to cell service. then Wifi turned back on its own. I have tried "forgetting" the network and re-joining to see if that helps, but no luck.

I just turned off Auto-join and will see if that helps.

I think this is impacting CarPlay as well. I posted a separate thread here but I have had issues the last couple days with my wireless CarPlay randomly disconnecting while driving. When I look at the Wifi menu on the phone it shows the car connection with the "No Internet Connection" warning (duh, its a car) and a spinning wheel next to it. Since wireless Carplay uses a WiFi connection to the car to function I suspect that whatever glitch that was introduced in iOS 18.0.1 is causing this problem as well.

Still waiting on the music app bug to get fixed. Feel like iOS 18 was a bit rushed.
