I see a lot of posts out there with people having issues with their Verizon FiOS routers so figured I'd start a thread with the solution in hopes people will find it when searching.

I had the same problems and after about 5 days of changing my broadcast channel to 11 and my security to WPA, I have yet to encounter an issue. This also solved my issues with slow buffering of YouTube videos. I have an Actiontec MI-424-WR router.

Got to give credit where credit is due....

Hopefully this helps.

Good luck...and save yourself a couple bucks on buying a new router.

hi raw911

could you pass along the fios mac support contact info?

someone in my office is having an issue with her new fios wifi service & both her mac & ipad. she's already tried calling them but they have determined that the problem lies with her apple products, despite the fact that she only has connection issues at home.

cheers
