The wifi log isn't showing int he top right corner of my iPad Air 2 even though I am connected to wifi. This is causing problems: I can't control my home sound system through the iPad any more because the system thinks I'm not connected even though I am and can surf the internet. I am running IoS 15.0.2. Any solutions?

Turn on Airplane Mode.

Turn on Do Not Disturb.

Power off for 10 minutes.

Power on and turn off Airplane Mode and Do Not Disturb.

I’d also recommend a restart. Now sure why 10 minutes would be needed but to each their own.

You could also try to forget the network and rejoin if the restart isn’t working.

I tried this - twice - but it didn’t work. When I restart, the WiFi logo appears for a few seconds and then disappears. I’ve now even wiped the iPad completely and restored it from a backup but that didn’t work either

Success! I have a VPN on the iPad which I use abroad. Although I wasn’t using it, I had checked the “connect on demand” tab so the iPad was constantly trying to connect to the VPN even though it was switched off. I only noticed it because it kept flickering between “not connected” and “connecting” in settings. I turned the tab off and the iPad is back to normal
