So a day or two ago, the Wifi on my iPhone just seemed to stop working. I cannot connect to ANY wifi network. Just to cover my bases, I messed with my Netgear router.. updated its firmware, switched security settings (including none at all), changed channels, etc. I even tried accessing other open wifi networks, but every time I get the "Unable to connect to network ____". Like I said, this worked fine a few days ago.

I've tried toggling the airplane mode. I've reset the Network settings on my phone. I even completely restored my iPhone. I'm about to pull my hair out here.. nothing I try gets my iPhone connected to a wifi network.

If anyone has any pointers, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

beyond restoring it im not sure what else you would do. i'd try making a genius bar appointment at your local apple store. if they cant fix it they'll probably just replace it for you.

I just confirmed that another router showed the same result. Also, another iPhone connected to my network fine. I guess I'll take it to the Apple Store.. 90 miles away. :(

Sounds like something is faulty or not working right. Try calling Apple first instead, who knows, they might be able to help you fix it over the phone first.

maybe the network signal is too weak? I brought my ipod with me, not a iphone sorry, and couldnt connect to the public wifi. the signal was way too weak, and i think it was 802.11a. ancient hardware. but yea, your best bet is apple store and the genii there.

It's not the signal strength considering I'm seeing the same issue for any and all wifi networks. Even with a strong signal (which I get when I'm close to the wifi network), I get the "unable to connect" error message.

Will take it to the Apple Store (road trip) I suppose and see what they have to say.

Just a final update on this.

I took it to the Apple Store and they tried everything that I already had. The new update didn't help things either, so they diagnosed it as a hardware problem and ordered me a new one. I'm just glad to finally get this resolved.
