I finally bit the bullet and unlocked my 16 GB iPhone 3G - I am on OS 3.1.2 and baseband 05.11.07, and all seemed to go smoothly. However, I noticed just now that while the iPhone is connecting to the encrypted wifi network I have (not before asking me for the password a few times), it will not load any pages on Safari, or download updates for the existing apps.
Is this a common problem post jailbreak? Is it a sign of a bigger problem, that I have yet to see because I don't have a SIM for my phone yet (that's tomorrow's task), and most importantly, is there a fix for this? Any input is welcomed.
EDIT: I figured I'd try one more thing before I went to bed last night and Googled "wifi problems blackra1n". From there I pulled up an iPhoneinCanada blog that was dedicated to network problems post JB and Unlock... they said the first thing to try was resetting the network settings from the Settings menu. So far this has solved the problem.
