I'm curious to read the reactions of those who have switched from a wifi only iPad to the wifi + 3G. Any regrets? Was it worth the extra money to you? Does it make a big difference to how you use and feel about your iPad? Do you also have an iPhone, and how do you feel about your iPhone now that you've got a 3G iPad? I'd really like to hear your comments. Thanks!

Yep

Totally happy. I don't have an iPhone. Love not having a contract. Love having a gps built in. Love having the option to turn on 3G when I'm away from home.

Pretty much happy. The reason I went 3G was for travel. I haven't gone anywhere yet, but I have comfort knowing that when I do, I will be set.

You probably won't hear many regrets. Well, there may be complaints from the genius that went 3G to watch netflix and ABC. Those people shouldn't count though.

Do you really think someone who has had this much time to think about changing will admit they made a mistake .

Very Happy

I bought the 32GB WiFi and upgraded to the 64GB 3G. Sold my 32GB on Craigslist and lost $50.00. I couldn't wait for the 3G and thought the loss was worth it. I am happy I have the 3G because there are times when WiFi is not available. I was always looking for places to eat lunch with WiFi and now I can go anywhere. Why limit yourself to just Wifi if you can afford the data plan.

Happy...sold 16GB wifi on craigs list for $100 more than I spent on it. Picked up a 32GB 3G and will not look back.

Happy for GPS, 3G access when away from hotspots (already had a need for that), Pandora streaming in the car as I commute...

I'm not as excited as I was when I first got my WiFi only iPad back on the 3rd, but I'm happy that I have a data connection at my disposal whenever I need it in case I'm not near WiFi.. I've used my Palm Pre to tether the iPad and it works 'ok' but 3G is just a simpler option. The GPS is kinda cool although both my cars have GPS- the location awareness is cool for finding stores, gas stations etc.. I guess having the 3G and GPS makes it a more complete experience for me!

Moved from 16gb Wifi to 16gb 3G. Happy. I've used 3G data just for testing ($15 plan), but I'm not expecting much of use in my everyday locations. 3G is mainly for traveling. Being unlocked also opens up many possibilities for international travels as well. I use Apple case so I don't see/care the black strap on top of 3G models.

Unless I use 3G, I leave iPad in Airplane mode + Wifi so the battery life is the same as Wifi model.

I love it so far. I don't have wifi access at work and as a firefighter have lots of downtime. It has been awesome for that.

The speed comes and goes. Sometime fast sometimes nothing but normally it is decent for web browsing. I don't like the stupid 20mb cap for iTunes downloads. I mean I can't even get an hour long audio podcast. They need to change that crap.

Batter life still seems incredible. Played with it all day yesterday and only got down to 70% charge. YouTube looks horrible. I expect it to be less quality but it is unusable really.

GPS is really fast to lock on. Can't wait for some more gps and iPad apps to start coming out.

I am using my iphone much less since the 3G. I can tell because I am not needing to charge it mid day. lol.

Really the only reason I got the 3G was the price. $30 is not free but its half of the mifi and there is no contract.

Very happy here!

Bought the WiFi on Launch Day and immediately loved it, but was frustrated when I was out somewhere and there was no WiFi available. So I bought the 3G on Friday and and am very happy to have online access whenever and wherever I need it. Haven't used 3G a whole lot yet and anticipate that I won't need it that frequently so went with the 250 MB plan. Where the 3G will really shine is when traveling!

I will be

I am selling my 32gb now that I have the 64gb 3G I ordered on the 12th. I am not any happier with the 3G than I was withnthe wi-fi only but I will be when the new iPhone comes out in June.

You see right now I can tether to my iPad because my iPhone is jail broken. It may be a while before the new iPhone can be (although it may never be jail breakable). So sometime in June I will be glad I got the 3G now:)

i just sold mine today at ebay. 32GB wifi. i posted last night. that was fast!

i have a reserve shopping at apple store around 6pm. i dont know if i am able to secure the 32GB 3G. though i put my request on a note. crossing my fingers...
