WiFi problems on multiple SL macbooks... update related?

Has anybody had problems with Wifi on Macbooks lately? It's possible this might be related to updates. Here's the story:

- I have a Macbook Pro, my girlfriend has a macbook. The WiFi on both stopped working in the exact same way, almost at the same time, seemingly after some updates.

- The wireless everywhere else in the house is fine. The iMac, iPads, and xbox live work perfectly. But both macbooks have the same problem... at the same time!

- Airport itself works, and my network shows up... but no connection. I get the exclamation mark on my WiFi icon (for both laptops)

Anybody experiencing anything similar? I'll post some more specific details, but I though I'd initially post the basic situation... All machines are running Snow Leopard by the way...

Any help would be appreciated!

Here's some supplementary info. I've got screenshots from both laptops of the network diagnostics. They show the same problem, apparently with network settings.

But why would both laptops get the same problem out of the blue at the same time? While all other devices work fine?

Same issue for both machines. Anybody else having this issues? And does anybody have any suggestions for fixing this? (I realize I can probably wipe my system preferences to "start over", but I'd rather not if there's another way... I have a lot of customized settings that I don't want to redo!)

This whole situation seems very odd to me...

How would I "reset" the network settings?

Someone told me I can basically reset all of my system preferences (although I forgot how, he told me I can move a file from my Library temporarily to do this though)... but is there a way I can reset my network settings without resetting my other settings?
