From what ive read and understand, the iphone should send push notifications in this priority

1. Wifi
2. 3G
3. Edge

The problem im having is when im connected to the wifi at home the iphone still recieves its push notifications over the cellular network instead of the wifi. I know this because it causes the speakers on the PC to make that aweful buzzing sounds when the push notification comes in.

Is there a know bug or setting ive missed to make sure that push comes through wifi when its available?

Thanks for the help

no it is not a bug, if you are actively connected to wifi (you are actually using it then and there) then it does it in that order

but if your phone was on standby after a short while it turns off the wifi, otherwise you wouldnt get more than abour 4-5 hrs of battery life, this has no effect on the iphone because it is always connected to the mobile network, if you have a data plan then I wouldnt be worried at all but if you dont then you can always turn off push
