When I have wifi turned on it constantly drops the wifi connection and the only way to solve it is to turn off wifi and on again although most of the times i need turn reboot the phone so it can reestablish the connection. This is true even if the phone's screen does not turn off...I was browsing in safari today and then noticed wifi was no longer connected. I am running a 3gs 3.01 jailbroken, I even have tried with insomnia turned on but the connection is lost anyway.

Anyone else have had similar issues?

Restore it, and see what happens.

Does it happen on every network, or just one in particular?
