Dear all,

i have two Macbooks and i have a question to the comparing WIFI Speed .

One is a Macbook 11 Air Mid 2013 and the other is a Macbook Pro Early 2013.

Both are on macos Monterey 12.3 and both WIFI Settings are unchanged . Both are in the same Network.

But why is the WIFI Speed on the Macbook Air on double Speed in my case?
I have 250Mbit average on the Macbook Pro , but the average on the little Macbook Air is 480Mbit even when they stood near to each other.

My question : Why is that so , please ?

Did some of the experts in the forum has an answer for me and could that be changed on the MAcbook Pro eventually ?

Thanks in advance and Cheers

Get some more info on both connections by holding down the "option" key while clicking the wifi symbol in your menu bar. What do you get for each in the values "Channel" and below?

Are you running any wifi extenders? What model router or mesh system are these Macs on?

The Air has upgraded wifi. The Air is 802.11ac whereas the Pro is a model with 802.11n.
