Not sure if I'm going nuts or something is set wrong, but I have iTunes set to sync photos, and the syncing is happening over wifi. I get all the folders that I've set to sync, but inside the folders are only the videos, none of the photos. Any suggestions about what I'm doing wrong? I've turned photo syncing off and back on to wipe the photos and re-sync, but no change. Thanks!

iTunes will sync photos from your computer to your iPhone, not the other way around. It has always been so. The method for syncing photos is to plug in and let your computer application (iPhoto or whatever) pull the photos and/or videos over the wire from the DCIM folder on the phone.

Or you can use an app like PhotoSync to do it wirelessly.

I'm not trying to do it the other way around. I'm asking iTunes to sync a folder full of pictures and videos from the computer to the iPhone. It is syncing wirelessly, and everything, including music and videos and apps, syncs just fine. But the pictures that are in the folder with the videos don't sync. Only the videos in that folder sync. The wire is not necessary with iOS5.

Just to update - I've done a complete Restore and then restored from the backup, and the situation is the same. It says that iTunes couldn't sync 400+ items, and to check iTunes for details, but of course, there is NO information in iTunes telling me more. Ugh. Looks like I'm going to have to wait until 5.01 until this works.

Oh, and I did it wired, instead of wireless, and still no change.

Figured it out! Turns out deleting the iPod Photo Cache folder (which is inside the synced folder) and then re-syncing did the trick.

Hopefully this helps the next guy.
