My problem has been on going from the time wifi sync was an option on my ipod touch 4th generation. I set it up, disconnected the ipod and wifi sync worked fine. Then suddenly it sopped working, i would get the message that "wifi sync will resume when computer is available", which it was. what i did was restart itunes and then wifi sync worked again but then after minutes or sometimes hours it would stop again and i would have to do the same thing with itunes, restart. this is continuing over and over again. i do not understand the problem. i am running windows vista. i would appreciate any help

That's what was happening to me as well when I had my PC a few months ago. It ran Windows 7 and I couldn't fix it.

I bought a Mac last month and Wifi sync works perfectly. So I would assume that your problem is an issue with Windows' version of iTunes. Which is notoriously known to be really bad.

Apple did not put as much effort into the new version of iTunes for Windows as they did for Mac. There may be certain issues with it. Keep trying and make sure that your iPhone and computer are both connected to the same computer and within range of each other.

For me windows vista is ok, what are the advantages of upgrading to 7? I Have the firewall enabled on the router but that is not giving me a problem with my two ipods or laptop

It happened to me. What i did is just disconnect my router from electricity and put it back and Wifi sync worked perfectly.

Hope this will help:)
