Hey all,
Had a scan though the wifi sync posts and didnt spot any specifc to what im getting so sorry if i missed it.
Problem i have is both ipad2 and iphone4 can see itunes just fine, and i can "start" a sync which eventually either stops without warning (and the phone gives last sync time of many many days ago) or says it just timed out.
HOWEVER...
once any wifi sync has failed, itunes then picks up my devices as having been fresh wiped, in other words you get the "set up as new iphone" or "restore from backup x" which as it happens is an old backup from more than a week ago before i switched to icloud backup.
So the choice it gives me means i can wipe it and have nothing or wipe it and have old data!
The fix for this it seems it to tell it, ok do the restore from backup for me, but as soon as the "preparing restore" screen shows up to unplug said idevice switch it off then back on and it goes back to normal again.
But as soon as i try another sync it fails in same way and this process loops.
On top of that i get a warning triangle next to device on left hand of itunes, but clicking it doesnt show what the error is (which im told is what it supposed to do)
Anyone else had this? Im running final builds of both ios5 and itunes on Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32bit
For now im going to go back to cable sync
