I was able to connect very well with my Macbook iphone and everything i had in it before and now after they changed the system or something they put in something called Fortinet since then when i connect with my mac or iphone, it asks me if i want to install the certificate so i click/press Accept. And it appears as i'm connected and then when i try to browse it takes me to the starting page of the wifi when i connect (the one that tells you how to connect in the wifi and put in the certificate in different OS). While i was searching for what type of wifi system my university has i found this:
Code:
"Unified Threat management solution for internet access - SEE University Tetovo"
Kernel Macedonia implemented a Fortinet Unified Threat Management solution for internet access for the SEE University that ensures that the internet usage is compliant with the organizations requirements and malware cannot enter the campus infrastructure.
I asked the campus tech support they say they don't know what is wrong. None of my friends that have iPhones and macbooks can't connect to it having the same problem. Is the certificate supposed to be modified or something so it can work on Apple products? I searched around the forums but didn't quite find what i needed. I also searched google for Fortinet and it's status with apple products but i didn't find anything. The tutorial on the site that on macbooks and iphones you just need to connect and it will automatically while on Windows people have to download the certificate and install it manualy on their computer. I will upload and link it on Monday as a reply to this post.
Sorry if i posted in the wrong section the problem is with network on all apple products.
I saw some apps like devicescape ones but i'm not sure they work i don't wanna pay for something and then realize oh they can't do it.
If you need anymore information just ask me i will do my best.
Thanks in advance.

Does the network use a proxy? If so you might have to manually configure the proxy to get a connection.

Hmm... I don't know about the proxy but everyone using Windows doesn't have to configure anything exept download that zip file click the .exe in it, connect enter his username/password and can browse freely his entire life. The .zip they download has a certificate inside and a few .xml files i will upload it on Monday once i get to the university.

It sounds like it's an authentication mechanism.

I'd remove those files though. They could potentially, and likely, have information about the university's network in them, which you shouldn't be spreading around.
