I have two ipads, one wifi and one 3g. The screen on the wifi is noticeably brighter. I tried differnt brightness settings from min to max and at any given level the wifi was always sig brighter. This was true on battery and ac power. Neither has any sort of screen cover.

Anyone else notice this? It may or may not have anything to do with the fact that one is 3g.

They probably use different panels from different manufacturers, not necessarily a 3G and Wifi difference.

This might be a god thing. I can type as quiet as a mouse in bed with the wife sleeping 2' away...but I light like a Christmas tree and that keeps her up. I am planning on buying a 3G so this is good news.

FYI, mine are the opposite. My 3G is slightly brighter than my wifi with both at max brightness. Ymmv
