I cannot get the wireless to work on my iPhone, it is not connected thru a cell service. It's my older one that my 8 year old wants to download games from the app store and that type of stuff. Does anyone know if not having cellular service has something to do with not being able to connect to the Internet thru wifi ????

When I was setting up my replacement phone, my older phone would have wifi even without phone services (no SIM), if that helps...

What exactly happens? Is it that it turns on and goes to the home screen and all that, and works fine, except that when you try and join a wifi network, it doesn't work (if so, what happens... do you not see the network, or...) or else what does happen?
